Nailsea School have been granted additional funding for the academic year 2021 to 2022 to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

The funding will be used to support small group tuition for students aged 16 to 19 in skills that may have been disrupted, including vocational and/or academic learning.

Evidence suggests that small group tuition works better with the smallest groups, and when the tuition is focused on students’ specific needs and is linked to classroom learning. The tuition will focus on students we have been identified as having significant gaps in their learning or skill base.

Nailsea have decided to use this funding to support small group tuition for students in the 6th form. These sessions will focus on specific skill areas (dependent on student) including:
