Year 9
Most students will enter a foundation year in Year 9 by selecting one of a range of technology subjects that can be developed into options for KS4 GCSE and NVQ courses in Years 10 and 11. The foundation year will offer a range of personalised learning opportunities based on students skills, ability and performance during the previous two years within technology. This will enable each student to maximise their potential during Years 10 and 11.
Additional opportunities will include two pilot schemes which are entering the second year, with some gifted students being expressed into GCSE Graphics for Years 9-10, whilst some others that learn using a more ‘hands-on’ approach, may be directed towards basic skills courses set up within Catering and Engineering. |
