The ability to understand and to communicate with others is something that we all recognise as important.  The ability to do so in a language other then ones own is something highly practical and very impressive.

Our aim is to provide all students with the opportunity to experience at least one foreign language during their time at the school, and many will study two from our range of French, German and Spanish.  For our gifted students there is the possibility of ‘fast-tracking’.

We are committed to fostering self-confidence, independence and an appreciation of other cultures.  By acquiring valuable linguistic skills students are broadening their horizons.   These same skills are becoming increasingly desirable when applying for a place in further education or for jobs – another reason to continue to GCSE and beyond.
