Nailsea School Radio
Specialist Status School Ambassadors have led a project to set up a radio station broadcasting a live radio show for Nailsea School students.
NSR is setting the benchmark in its industry, offering the first School “Radio” in North Somerset. Shows are recorded each week in the form of podcasts which are then posted onto the radio website for access by students in the region.
Specialist Status School Ambassadors drew up a business case including budgets and predicted costs before being given the go ahead. The students then put in place the technology needed to set up the radio station and began recruiting other students to work on the project. This enables students to experience how a radio station is run and how shows are produced.
