Gifted and Talented Students in Nailsea School

Providing for the needs of Gifted and Talented students is a very important aspect of life in Nailsea School, given that we are fortunate in having so many of them on our roll.  Ofsted have praised this feature of our school but we recognise the need to go on developing our provision to ensure that each child with unusual ability or skill is recognised, stimulated and supported in the quest for yet higher attainment.

We have a Gifted and Talented Provision Working Group charged with keeping this issue under review and ensuring that our provision is keeping up with developments, both locally and nationally. The group is deliberately drawn from a range of subject disciplines and pastoral staff in order to give it the widest possible perspective.  We also have a Gifted and Talented Provision link governor helping us to promote the cause.
