Parents : Prospective Parents : Induction

In the summer term, members of staff visit feeder schools in the area and talk to the primary teachers about the Year 6 children who will shortly be moving up to Nailsea School.

The information gained from these visits are put together with information from the induction form (which includes friendship preferences) and from this equally balanced Tutor Groups are formed.  Tutor Groups aim to have a mix of ability, gender, special needs, primary schools, etc.

Induction Day - Tuesday 7th July 2009
Induction Day for Year 6 students starting in September 2009 is Tuesday 7th July 2009. Students should report to the Main School Hall by 8.20 am and should wear their junior school uniform. Students will need to bring either a packed lunch and drink, or up to £2.50 to buy lunch and a snack at break time from the school canteen.

The day ends for all new intake students at 2.15 pm when parents/carers should make arrangements for their child to return home. Parking is extremely limited on the school site, and there are no waiting areas, so please use the local community car parks and walk into school.
