Parents : Parent Support Advisors

The Parenting Support Advisor Pilot is a national scheme designed to support parents.  It focuses on reducing exclusions and improving attendance.

The role of Parent Support Advisers (PSAs) is distinct from support provided by other staff within the school, like Learning Mentors, or by other teams supporting schools, like Education Welfare.  PSAs work with and support parents and they may also have contact with pupils.  They run basic parenting classes or events and arrange access to relevant specialist services for parents who otherwise would not have access.
