NAILSEA REALLY HAS GOT TALENT!
The School Council organised 'Nailsea's Got Talent' on Wednesday 27th February to raise money for The Babe Appeal. Members of the School Council ran auditions over a number of weeks to find a range of acts before selecting the final 15 talents to take part in the show.
The School Presidents, Ainsley Ierland and Scott Davie hosted the evening, and the acts were judged by the acid tongue of Pete Lynch, the complementary tones of Simon Forbes, the musical expertise of Dilly Taylor and the kindly words of Gill Kelly. There were a variety of acts ranging from Poi to Parkour, from bands to a comedy sketch, and it was great to see every year group being represented. First prize was awarded to the 6th Form band 'Stuck in Transit', with second prize going to Ellie Ford in Year 7. All acts showed what a talented bunch of students we have here at Nailsea School. The staff band also raised a smile as students looked on in surprise that they could play their instruments.
The acts were:
- Katie Parker singing and playing her own composition
