News items: Curriculum Enrichment Week 2008

Once again we are planning our annual Curriculum Enrichment Week.  During this week, the usual curriculum is suspended to enable students in Nailsea School to experience a range of different activities.   This is our eleventh year of running this event, which is organised after our Year 11 and 13 students have sat their examinations and while our Year 10 students are on Work Experience.  Many of our Year 7, 8 and 9 students are on Language or other residential trips both in this country and abroad.  These are all designed to enhance the classroom experiences normally provided for them throughout the school year.  We believe they will help to develop students personally, socially, physically and intellectually.

This year we are providing some very exciting opportunities for the students with the support of external experts, including coaches from Bristol City Football Club, Toby Hulse, a Bristol based theatre director and playwright, the comic-strip artist Kev Sutherland who draws for the Beano comic, Ulf Mark Pedersen of Muffled Visions, an artist from Refab Arts and a chef from the Good Cook School.
