Supporting Nailsea School
Like many schools the ambition we have for our pupils is bigger than our budget, but that won’t stop us! We’re creative and resourceful, and we want the very best for our pupils, so we’re putting plans in place to make sure that every child at Nailsea has all the opportunities we can afford. There are some small ways that you can help, please take a look at the initiatives below to learn more.
Nailsea School Enrichment Fund
The Enrichment Fund encourages diversity of experience, well-being, development and aspiration. The aim of the fund is to increase the number of opportunities for students at Nailsea School and Sixth Form. Helping to provide specialist equipment, resources and unique learning opportunities for students and staff, in areas not covered by statutory funding. The ambition of the fund is to give teachers the opportunity to explore new ways of engaging students, to maintain learning as inspiring, fresh and exciting. Examples might be to invite specialist guest speakers or workshop leaders such as authors, to fund specialist equipment such as 3d printers or to provide character building experiences outside of the classroom, which would otherwise not be possible. As well as setting up the Enrichment Fund, Nailsea School is pro-active in seeking out funding opportunities from grant awarding bodies for specific projects.

We welcome donations from individuals and businesses at any time of the year, we can celebrate them or the donor can remain anonymous if preferred. Donations can be targeted at specific areas of interest or can contribute directly to the Nailsea School Enrichment Fund. Eventually we’d like to set up a regular giving scheme where a small amount can be contributed into the Enrichment Fund each month.
We are extremely grateful to our current donors which include the Rotary Club, Nailsea Community Trust who donate both time and money to sponsor events and prizes throughout the year.
If you’d like to find out more about making a donation contact firstname.lastname@example.org
|Giving in Kind
Not all the help we receive is financial, our community is a great supporter of Nailsea School. We are fortunate and grateful to the local businesses that provide our Year 10 students with work experience and work shadowing opportunities, and also to those that attend our Careers Fair, which provides valuable insight into the world of work.
Many local businesses offer their time to mentor students or to provide one-off opportunities, sharing their expertise and knowledge. Donations of equipment and practical resources have also been made, which is also much appreciated.
If you’re interested in offering your help in-kind please contact Fiona Davies who can put you in touch with the right department email@example.com
|Grants and Trusts
Nailsea School has been successful in applying for funding in several areas in recent times.
The Nailsea Link a registered charity was established in 2011 to act as a bridge between the community and Nailsea School as well being a sustainable source of income for the school. Its three main areas of activity are Facility Hire, Holiday Clubs and Adult Education. A self-sustaining charity, any surplus income generated is reinvested back into the maintenance and improvement of the school facilities. The Link is managed by a Board of Directors, you can support this initiative by becoming a Community Director.
