Nailsea itself lies eight miles southwest of Bristol, in the Unitary Authority of North Somerset and has many features of a developing town: sports and leisure centres, a shopping precinct, supermarkets, a library and health centres. There is excellent access by motorway, other roads and rail services.

Directions

From the Motorway:

• Leave the M5 at junction 19 (signposted Portishead), then at roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Martcombe Road - A369 (signposted Clifton - Toll)
• Quickly turn first right onto High Street then turn left onto Mill Lane. Continue forward onto Portbury Lane following lane to the top of the hill and at the T junction:
• Turn right onto Clevedon Road - B3128 then turn next left onto Wraxall Hill and follow the hill down into Wraxall
• At the T junction turn right onto Clevedon Road - B3130
• On entering Nailsea, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto High Street - B3130
• At the next roundabout by Tesco take a first left onto Brockway and turn right at the mini roundabout as Brockway leads onto Station Road
• At the junction Turn left onto Mizzymead Road and Nailsea School is on the left

From the A370

• Follow the A370 into Backwell and at the main traffic lights turn into Station Road (signposted Nailsea)
• Follow the road underneath the railway bridge into Nailsea and at the brow of the hill turn left into Queens Road
• Take the third turning on the right into Mizzymead Road
• Nailsea School is at the bottom of the road on the right
