In September 2006 Nailsea School was notified that it had been selected for the Building Schools for the Future, One School Pathfinder programme. We have a target to deliver a £28 million new school for 1500 students and staff by academic year 2009-2010.
We have worked hard on developing a vision with staff, students, governors, parents and the community to transform learning and the whole school ethos so that the new school will be a truly inspirational learning hub for the whole community. With our partners in North Somerset District and Nailsea Town Councils, Weston College and the local community our vision is to deliver facilities for education, recreation and leisure on the school campus.
As a pathfinder project we will be setting the standards and the procedures for other schools to follow. This is a truly amazing opportunity and a very exciting challenge.
